In the Blizzard entertainment pride 2023 shirt and I love this 1950s, jeans and poodle skirts were prohibited. In the 1960s, it was hairstyles (long hair on boy, especially). In the 1980s, “controversial” band names on t-shirts were prohibited. Today, it’s hoodies. Tomorrow, it will be something else. The justifications and rationalizations will shift with the times, but the underlying reason is the same: “we’re in charge, so do as you are told, whether it makes sense or not.” As you can tell, I have a lot of hoodies. Er… I wear hoodies a lot. New York Rangers, Brooklyn Nets, Pittsburgh Pirates, Lehigh Valley Phantoms, and Andrei Vasilevskiy (yikes). I tend to wear them a lot. Yeah yeah “iTs AlL sPoRtS wHaT dO yOu NeeD sO mAnY fOr?¿” This is a generalization since hoodies are not being banned at all schools in the U.S. Depending on where your school is located, grade level, school dress code, safety/security measures, law enforcement recommendations, gang level activity, & how hoodies are associated with gangs will probably determine if hoodies are being banned from being worn at your particular school or in your school district.
During this ongoing COVID-19 virus, most students and parents will have to wait until regular school returns to determine if this hoodie ban will apply to their school. They shouldn’t be I love hoodies and wear exclusively hoodies and t shirts depending on the Blizzard entertainment pride 2023 shirt and I love this weather I own 8 different hoodies ( In case all I want to wear only hoodies on a given week and one thick one in case it’s cold but I’m live in Florida and thats rare) and most are thin and plain and just for a quick wear. I never understood why hoodies are frowned upon yeah there’s definitely a time and place for them but my purpose of wearing my hoodie isn’t to hide my face, rob someone, or to look deceiving. Also wearing a hoodie means I can now sleep anywhere with the convenience of my long sleeve shirt with a head blanket. There convenient, comfortable, and if an admin or professor tells me to take my Hood off during a lecture I ablidge but anywhere else I smile and pretend I didn’t hear them.
